Testimonials

“Delightful, beautiful and simple, but also deeply challenging, Froggit Froggins helps children and adults think about how best to care for our fellow creatures.”
Dave Bookless, conservationist, author and speaker

”The session with Ms. Isabel Davis the author and illustrator of Froggit Froggins was extremely successful. It was a new experience for the children and they were very excited and well behaved. They listened to the story, were engaged and were eager to ask and answer questions. They were encouraged to become illustrators during the session and they all took part in drawing a picture for the book as requested. They enjoyed the task and were all willing to share and talk about their drawings.”
Ms. Jackeen- Reception Teacher

”Our zoom session with Ms. Isabel Davis on Monday 25th January was very successful. Ms Davis appeared delightful, friendly and enchanting, and the students were keen for her to begin.
She began by reading her story; ‘Froggit Froggins’ with great enthusiasm, the students were engaged, intently listening. After the reading, she asked the students questions about the story, and about the main concept behind it; (taking care of the environment and animals that live in it).
Shortly after, she introduced the students to the idea of a comic strip and how to create a series of sketches, almost like a mood board of ideas. She showed us her own sketchpad, in which she had sketched pictures of her characters. It was an honour to see her work ‘behind the scenes’.
She asked the students to create their own in the time provided, and they thoroughly enjoyed this task. All of them wanted to share their sketches with her, so it was decided that the teachers would email copies of the sketches to Ms Davis.
As the end of the session neared, the students were given the opportunity to ask Ms Davis some questions.
It would be a pleasure to have Ms Davis join us again if possible, maybe with individual classes as the students were mesmerised at meeting a real life author.
We are honoured to have been given the opportunity and look forward to meeting with her again.”
Ms Morad- Y5/6/7 English Teacher

”A big thank you to the lovely author Isabel Davis, for taking the time to give a wonderful live presentation to our students of her exciting children’s book: Froggit Froggins!
For the students to have a real life author speaking to them about their book and the process to complete the book truly inspired and encouraged our students further. Some even said they could be authors just like Isabel Davis.”
Ms. Bastawi- Y1 Teacher

”Hello Isabel, amazing and thank you very much. The children were loving it. Today the parents called in and said how exiting and wonderful it was. Thank you again”
Head teacher - Innova International English School, Kuwait

’Our children loved “Froggit Froggins.” It was an amazing story that allowed us to explain the impact we can have on our world and sparked conversations based on ways we can help to keep our animal friends safe. The lovely attention to details in the book was appreciated by our children, who described the illustrations as “colourful and funny.” I particularly loved the conversation questions at the back of the book. We have been inspired to look at doing a “Go Green” topic in the new year!”
Sharon Leib - Childcare Operations Manager - The Fun Farm Day Nursery, Lincoln

‘At first glance this looks like quite a simple book. However,it develops into a story of animal characters which, at first don’t bother with one-another, but then bond to achieve a rescue against the odds. The lovely drawn pictures are engaging even for me and the text curls and swoops around to keep little one’s interest. And it gets them thinking about not causing pollution that will harm our little creatures. A great moral story without lecturing.
When’s the next one out?”
Matt

A brilliant story touching on so many relevant topics. Perfect for any young curious child. The illustrations are fun and engaging and the colours are engaging. The questions at the end are a great touch which got all of us thinking about the answers. I would highly recommend adding this to your bookshelf.
Trevor Allan

A lovely book with a writing style you can’t help reading with enthusiasm. There’s a couple of important morals in the tale but the story remains cheerful. I really recommend this book.

Lovely book, never to early to teach children about the world they live in and how they can help and protect the environment .
Beautifully written and illustrated.

We bought 3 of these for our 3 nephews and nieces and they’ve absolutely loved it!
Rob MacDonald

This book cleverly brings together beautiful illustrations and a charming story that is important to all of us, how our behaviour affects animals and the planet. It shows that anyone can make a difference however small they are, and that team work can help over come challenges.
An ideal gift for the younger reader.
Astrid Gaugham

It lets young children learn about the environment in an age-appropriate way. The book also has discussion questions which a parent can apply to the child’s understanding of the environment.

Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much my boys love Froggit Froggin! Benji is now 2 and George is 4 and they both know off by heart and regularly ask for it at bed time even though they have had the books for over a year now. Other stories have long since fallen out of favour but I believe your lovely illustrations and the story keep them coming back Toit again and again. I hope you have had the success you deserve with it.
